Academic Competitive Grant
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
If a student is a Federal Pell Grant recipient,
the student record will be evaluated for an Academic Competitive Grant of up to $750 for the first academic year of study
and up to $1,300 for the second academic year of
study from this new, federally-funded gift program.
In addition to being a Federal Pell Grant recipient,
students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Be a U.S. citizen
2. Be enrolled full time in a degree program
3. Have successfully completed a rigorous secondary
school program of study.
4.Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to receive
an award for a second year of study
Annual award amounts may be reduced by the U.S.
Department of Education, if sufficient funds are
not available for all eligible students in an
award year.
Make sure you check with your high school counselor
to see if this program is available at the college
you are submitting an applicaiton.
